2 Ways to Improve Chanel 7 AFL telecast
Big improvement:
1. Show the ball-up after goals.
The replay of the goals is going into live game time. Fans are missing vital parts of the game so the director can show his super slow mo’s. KISS! Keep it simple stupid. You’re showing a football match, so show the football match.
Minor impovement
2. Forget the high in the stands camera view.
The reason the seats at the top of the stands are the last to be filled is because fans don’t want to see the game from way up there. It’s the worst view in the ground. Have you ever sat up there?
So why does someone think we at home want to see camera footage from up there? That far up in the stands you can hardly tell which side is which, never mind see what is happening. I am not joking here, its like watching a bunch of ants with mini jumpers on playing footy.

It drives me crazy missing the ball up and then the action while the friggin director plays with his toys.
And as for the eye-in-the-sky shots.. what screen is the director looking at.. I reckon he must have those coke-bottom glasses except about 3 inches thick to be able to see anything worth while.
We have a monster plasma screen and we can’t see anything except a wave of colour while I miss the action.
