“FANGO has secured over 200,000 downloads since launch, averaging over 10,000 downloads each day. FANGO for iPhone was App of the week in the iTunes App store and FANGO for iPad reached the number one ranking in the iTunes App store.”

“The research revealed that 41 percent of people post on Facebook while watching TV and 36 percent use a mobile phone to text or call friends and family while watching TV. People are also more likely to use social media during or after a show airs on live television.”

“This survey reinforces the hypothesis that viewers are active users of social media whilst consuming television programmes. It also supports the notion that peer recommendation remains a significant influencing factor in the consideration phase of programme selection. ”

“The research clearly shows that Australians love to watch appointment-based TV. The success of FANGO demonstrates a new way in which Australian television viewers can engage with shows FANGO brands and other fans, as the show is airing,” said Kristin Carlos, Head of TV, Yahoo!7. “FANGO makes it easier for viewers to engage with their favourite TV shows.”

I am so so so sick of the poor signal strength being transmitted by Channel 7. Why do they waste money on broadcasting rights when only a select group of people (usually through Foxtel!) can even view their programs?!?

They need to look at this, and spend some money to upgrade their equipment to enable better signal strength.

I am so used to not getting signal, that I don’t even know what shows I am missing now… and I don’t even miss them. I’ve learned to go without and now I watch mostly Channels 9 10 11 & 99.

Channel 7 must be aware of this issue, as there are so many other people out there facing the same problem. Surely they want more viewers and better ratings?!? Don’t the shareholders want more money which could be raised from advertising that actually gets seen???

It’s time they did something before everyone loses the ability to just watch poor quality analogue, and it’s digital or NOTHING!!!

As if losing my job wasn’t bad enough but…I know it is shocking acting and they cannot say ‘friiiidge’ properly but over the past couple of months I got sucked in to the storylines of the Kiwi TV soapie, “Shortland Street”. I was doing the blokey thing with the remote be nice!??!)and stumbled across a middle-aged guy who looked somewhat familiar but I couldn’t pick him. As I was waiting for the show to finish so I could read the credits I found myself laughing at the acting and the linguistic exercises of our Trans-Tasman cousins…but I got sucked into a couple of their storylines, especially at the end when the pretty nurse gave the classic “Days Of Our Lives” eyebrow stare that would have lasted for at least 30 seconds before the director must have finally said ‘CUT!’
Anyway, to cut a short story long, I saw his name, at the top of the list…Peter Mochrie. You know, Sons and Daughters, Neighbours and that long-running series “Holiday Island” which lasted as long as the advertisements between segments of 60 Skippies…I mean Minutes!!!
So my punishment for finding out about my old mate, P.M. or Moccas to his dear friends, it is no more on Seven 2, according to my Foxtel Info Service.

A serious question for Seven 2 Management…is it coming back on our small screens at another time, please??? I am totally sucked in and need my daily fix of S.S. every morning or evening (recorded if I am working. It apparently is still in production in New Zealand, according to their website so the series hasn’t concluded. Could someone please let me know the fate of S.S. and I guess I’m just hoping that it has been changed to another time.
Thanks for your time and looking forward to an answer and perhaps a few giggles from the chat room
(I sincerely apologise, I never thought it would happen to me!!!??!!!)in the near future.
Regards.
Rod

In the final of the Amazing Race the leaders, the two surfers, completed the flag sequence task clearly ahead of the next contestants, the two girlfriends, and headed off to the finishing line in clear daylight.

The girl representing the two girlfriends conceded that after positioning several flags she did not have a clue on what to do next.

Lo and behold shortly afterwards she is given the ok and they are provided with the final destination and off they go in hot pursuit of the leaders also in clear daylight.

The winners finish in bright daylight while the runners-up turn up in darkness despite knowing the way to the finishing line.

Clearly there has been a manipulation of events which produced a misleading and deceptive outcome.

This may have helped satisfy the desire to maintain a high level of drama as long as possible but it does you no credit when you clearly tamper with events.
