I was disgusted in Sam Newman's bullying behaviour once again. I will not be watching the Footy Show again.

Gary's credibility is now zero for not overseeing what Sam is going. Brayshaw is very clearly disgusted. Bring back the only person that is a pleasure to watch, funny, and genuine. I will be turning the channel over until Billy is back on instead of Sam. Channel nine, Sam is now your biggest liability!

Please get rid of Sam Newman, Channel 9.

He made another absolutely disgraceful, sexually degrading comment about a
women on tonight's show. I am not going to repeat it but it was clear and
unambiguous, despite his belligerent protestations.

I had only just tuned in with my wife, a few seconds after seeing a report
about the push for a Tasmanian team.

If he didn't intend the comment to be sexually loaded, (a) why did his
fellow panellists react with instant disapproval and (b) why did he start
trying to explain himself. If the comment was innocent he would not have
known what it was they were reacting to.

I love football, I actually run a footy tipping comp with 210 entrants. I
watch almost every game and every show including Footy Confidential. Great
Show.

The Footy Show has long been of no interest to me, with it's stale,
formulaic, blokey juvenile irrelevance and the constant danger of Sam saying
or doing something repellant. When he came back from his "counselling" he
revelled in the notoriety, dressing up in a devils outfit to mock the
seriousness of his original offensive behaviour at Caroline Wilson's
expense.

If they get him off and retool the show, I will be much more likely to give it a
chance again.

I saw the Footy Show last night 31.07.08 and honestly think Channel 9 needs to do something about Sam Newman's attitude.

He said the most disgusting, degrading comment toward the end of the show, again in regard to a woman. He constantly makes fun of Jason Dunstall who deserves much more respect than Sam gives him.

And his street talk is shameful. He patronises and makes a mockery of the people in the areas he goes to. Always the more unfortunate people who he ridicules and belittles..This is not entertainment its a form of bullying. these people deserve a little more respect than he gives them..Its all for his own sick segments that he finds amusing. Why doesn't he go to areas where people are in his sort of class??? because they won't stand for it!! and neither should his street talk crew.

This man has issues which he needs to address...

Bring back Billy Brownless into Sam's spot....Billy is a very funny, genuine person who brings a freshness to the Footy Show.....the rest of the cast are great, Gary, James and Trevor and the panel is always well chosen...I really enjoy the show each week....the only thing that affects the integrity of the show is Sam Newmans segments and comments...

Get rid of Sam! He's used up all his chances and is bringing the whole show into disrepute......which would be a shame for the other great co hosts as they are all great to watch.

Bring Back Billy "Oi, Oi, Oi"

I have not watched the footy show for many years and will not while
Sam Newman is on it.

I have followed football all my life and crave a football show that talks about football not smut and inuendo or makes fun of people who can't defend themselves as in street talk.

Surely Sam has been given enough chances. Let true football fans have the footy show back and get rid of him.

Sam has to be given the axe ! he is not funny; he likes to degrade females and it seems that channel nine accepts this with a slap over his hands for ratings.

I used to be a Footy Show fan years ago. No matter when I do it, I always see Sam Newman's face as I am channel surfing. The camera seems to be fixated on his loud mouth. Let's give credit where credits' due, great footballer in his time but in this day and age, why are we surrounded by his stupidity.

I choose to NOT watch the show because of him but am still surrounded by his stupidity and arrogance in the media.

He's arrogant and he IS a disgrace. When are you going to learn from your mistakes and take him off the bloody air. He insults all women with his offencive comments, it is shameful.

Sam Newman made a mockery of the Tasmanian Tourism Minister's presentation, completely derailing the news story and it's message. James Brayshaw picked up on the slur, but Gary Lyons just brushed it off, making him complicit in the degredation. I could get all huffy about sexist attitudes, but the fact is, Sam pretty much puts down both sexes. He needs
to retire and travel for the few remaining years he can expect to live. Perhaps he could broaden his mind a bit. He has spent too many years in front of the Reject Shop, trolling for social misfits.
