I just read the press clippings re the broadway show 'Boeing Boeing', which I saw last Saturday night. It must be a totally different show to what is playing in the US, or the people writing the reviews did not attend. The show was ghastly! I see at least 4-5 shows a week and this show was so painful to watch, I could only sit through the first half.

I have no idea who would find it appealing or have anything good to say about it - the 'ham' acting was too ridiculous for words, the 'accents' , for those who put them on, were all over the place, and it was like watching a 1950s Greek melodrama.

It was a total waste of time & money!!!

I wasn't the only one in the audience who thought so, as a number of people walked out at interval.

I was looking forward to some good comedy, but was very disappointed. I only thought one scene was witty in the whole of the first act, but which may have been rather offensive to anyone who was Jewish in the audience.

Let's give Melbourne audiences better live entertainment, or we may put off people who irregularly attend theatre and believe this is the calibre of shows in this town!

Sorry to be so negative about it - but it was BAD.
