Thumbs down Victorian Bushfire Coverage

Re the terrible bushfires which have savaged this State on the weekend.

It is extremely disappointing that 7 News would give the CSIRO time to push their view that global warming' was responsible for the tragic bushfires.

What poopycock! It had nothing to do with global warming.

Fact: some fires were deliberately lit.

Fact: Vast areas of bushland have been locked away as national parks and no back-burning has been allowed for years. Hence the bush was very susceptible to any adverse hot weather conditions.

Fact: The Earth has cooled in the past decade, not got hotter. Global temperatures since 2002 has declined by 0.6 of a degree.

Everything seems to be blamed on global warming these days, and the public are being mislead over erroneous claims concerning global warming.

It's time a halt was called to this unnecessary scare mongering.

Thumbs up Channel 2's Black Saturday coverage

I have just finished watching Channel 2's Bushfire coverage on 7th Feb, 2010.

I think it was so well done and narrator was excellent. The outcome of the young man whose family went their own way and finally met up with him again was wonderful.

If this reaches the overseas market you should be so proud for it to be shown. It conjures up the spirit of every Australian.

Well done.
