Default Msg to Sunrise

Dear sunrise program,

First of all I would like to start with saying that I enjoy watching your
program in the mornings as it always reports the news in a very fair manner
with a good dose of humour content.

After you where talking to a guest on your show a few weeks ago, which had
just formed a web site called goodonya Australia where Australians could
post there good news stories relating to the financial downturn we are
currently experiencing. after this interview you stated that you where going
to try and promote all the good news story about the current climate to
generate a positive outlook around Australia, which I thought was great,
seeing there is so much negativity out there at the moment, and my I am a
firm believer in negativity greates negativity.

But after watching the show this morning I was absolutely applaud watching
your interview with the author of the new automotive lemons guide, after he
stated not to buy car of dealers as you will be paying around 20% to 30%
more than if you where to buy of the internet ect.this statement is so
incorrect, where does he get his info from, surely not car dealers. Did you
question this man before he went on air asking him if all the information he
is going to supply be of good substance. This is his own opinion and should
be kept to himself.unfortantly there is a certain amount of profit in
anything we buy i.e.: food, clothes, These profit margins are there to help
pay wages and supply a service to the general public to make all our lives
easier.

Unless you have been in hibernation for the previous 6 months, you will be
fully aware that the Australian car industry is going through its toughest
periods in decades, I cannot believe you let this man on your show telling
the Australian public not to buy cars of dealers. I firmly believe his
comments this morning will have people that where thinking currently or
already in the process of trying to buy a car swinging away from car
dealers. As your show is watch by millions daily...

The automotive industry in Australia employs hundreds of thousand of people
nationally!

How many does this author employ?

How much profit is in each copy of his books?

Can I get on sunrise stating not to buy his book and I believe there to be
20% to 30% mark up?

Also I find it hard to believe your show and channel 7 who been have and are
sponsored by certain car manufactures to let someone on your show stating
not to buy cars of dealers.

What do they think about his comments?

As more people in the automotive industry find it hard to survive, having to
constantly lay of staff.

Maybe your guest this morning can talk to the families over the coming
months you loose there jobs, due to his comment!

In finishing I would like to say that I have been in the car industry for 10
years in a numerous number of roles and believe I have a good knowledge and
understanding of the automotive industry. The current period now is very
tough, we have even been selling some cars as a loss to the dealership, the
national average for gross profit in vehicles after all expenses are paid is
around 2% in a lot of cases currently that would be considerably less (is
your guest aware of these statistics) to hear those comments this morning
really hit a nerve and upset me. .how someone could be making comments
without any true substance probably without fully realizing what damage he
could be doing to thousand of good, honest hard working Australian people.

Does not this go totalling against what sunrise has been trying to promote?
