AFL Coverage
I am at present I am watching your coverage of the Adelaide/St Kilda game.
I am really disappointed with Leigh Matthews, who I have always greatly admired as a player then as a celebrated coach who I always respected for speaking out. along with Nathan Buckley has has also seemed to have compromised his values, is so biased. I have always thought it was the position of comentators to be neutral.
Sorry guys, your have sold out to the AFL and have jeopardised your own personalities as being honest and sometimes contraversial.
By the way I am neither a St Kilda, nor Adelaide supporter.
I will in future choose another channel.

Pathetic coverage
The coverage of today's football match (Western Bulldogs vs Carlton) has been absolutely pathetic. Your producers should be sacked.
The camera angles and close ups mean it is impossible to know what is going on. Learn how to hold a shot.
You have been covering footy for 50 years. Surely you can get it right.

Footy on seven has been a great disapointment.
Because 7 will not telecast any footy live even when they can. The 8:30 start for night games is bad enough but all the adds ,and the crap at half time to make the game finish one and half hours after actual finish has finally driven me to the radio!!!!!
But not only me my son and daughter also. Just had enough . I always watched 7 news but because of the way you treat us (Collingwood and all football supporters) I will be watching 9 . Hope 10 can get more games at least we can watch an occasional came live.

No Sunday Football?!
I am very disappointed that there is no football on your network today 10/5/09.
I am a western bulldogs member and due to financial reasons I am unable to travel to Adelaide today to watch the game. Due to the massive fee that you (7) paid for the football surely you would find time to show it even delayed like a Friday night game.
Due to the (what I consider) huge over site I will be taking my complaint to the AFL for further review.

disgraceful coverage
Your football coverage is a disgrace and an insult to your potential viewers.
The unnecessary delays and the padding just piss people off.
Nobody wants to stay up until midnight on Friday after a long week while you pretend it is half time when the game is close to, if not already over.
I, like many others have given up; I go to bed and listen to the ABC on the radio.
Tonight's experiment is another failure. The game started at 7.10 and you advertised "the football" from 8.00 PM, and provided self serving crap for 21 minutes.
You treat your "potential customers" like Basil Fawlty!
I will listen to the rest on the ABC and enjoy it.
Congratulations on losing another potential customer.

Afl score placement
regarding your coverage of the Afl, am not impressed with the placement of the score on the television screen, it only shows 1 teams score not both and it is most frustrating, channel 10 shows it up in the top of the screen, and that is why I will watch AFL on chaneel 10 not on channel 7 unless you fix it

St Kilda V Geelong game???
To the intelligent moron scheduler depriving the Brisbane audience of being able to view the biggest game of the year at a sensible hour.
I refer to St Kilda V Geelong.
It seems as though channel 7 are the only people involved with AFL that are unaware of the biggest game of the year so far.
We in Brisbane are left with the crumbs as usual.
Channel 7 is now banned in this house. If you are not serious about AFL, drop it and give it to another station next year.

Geelong v. St. Kilda game disappointment
I would like to express my extreme displeasure at Channel 7's decision not to broadcast the Geelong v. St. Kilda game live this Sunday afternoon.
It is unacceptable for both the network and the AFL to throw their hands up and say there is no legal recourse for the game to be shown. Channel 7 seems perfectly willing to interrupt planned programming to air such useless "features" as Michel Jackson tributes. But when it comes to the biggest home and away match in the AFL's history? You can't be bothered.
AFL has no hope increasing its market in Queensland if its current fans continue to be treated with this kind of disrespect. Shame on you both.

Disgraceful Camera Work in AFL
I would like to view my concerns at the disgraceful camera work in evidence at yesterdays Geelong v St Kilda game.
The amount of times the cameras showed shots of the coaches box and a host of ugly boofheads in the crowd, while we actually missed centre bounces and other play around the ground was a joke.
And the amount of times we had the overhead view from the roof missing the action because they didn't zoom in to the play was a farce.
Channel 7 should be ashamed of it's lack of professionalism. We watch the football not to see ugly heads and the coaches, we want to see the footy!!!!!!!
Lift your game 7....channel 9 was far superior to your joke of a coverage. You somehow managed to make what should have been the best viewing experience of the footy season into a frustrating afternoon of missed action.

7's AFL gets worse and worse
Channel Sevens coverage of AFL football is a disgrace.
You would think after all the time they had had the broadcast rights, that they would get better instead they are becoming worse and worse.
Examples are replaying passages of play as the game continues; continually focussing on the coaches boxes or crowd as play continues resulting in missed marks, goals, 50 metre penalties, play on, etc . Too many close ups so you miss that is happening, too many long shots so you can't see the ball, etc etc.
Absolutely pitiful and Cahnnel 10 are not much better.

My name is Emily and I live in Sydney. I am also a Sydney Swans fan and enjoy watching their games on your station on Sundays.
However, I am writing to you to express my disappointment that you are not televising the Geelong v St Kilda game this Sunday.
I understand that you may have contractual obligations to telecast the Swans matches, however the Geelong/St Kilda game is possibly the biggest game of the season and will be a part of history and I would really like to have seen it!
It has even been pushed back to 310 so that it can be viewed nationwide and channel 7 Sydney, according to the tv guide, is not even showing it delayed.
I have been searching the net and have found many other people share my opinion.
Hopefully this is a mis-understanding and you are showing the game. And if you are not
hopefully, you will receive more emails like this and will telecast the game so that Sydney can share in this historic Australian sporting moment.

I just want to express my dissapointment at your failure to televise the collingwood essendon match tonight(friday 3/7) in Queensland.
As well as not showing the St Kilda Geelong match on Sunday. I know I am probably talking to a machine and I will not get a response from this but I am extremely upset with your deceptive tactics of buying the rights to televise these matches and then failing to to so.
I vote with my feet and I will put channel 7 at the bottom of my viewing list like I hope a lot of other queenslanders will!

AFL Coverage Complaints
I have a number of complaints re your Aussie Rules coverage on TV.
It is so pathetic today that I have given up watching -
- Started today at 3pm on delayed broadcast!
- Will go for 3 hours with I estimate at least 1 hour of Advertising based on 4 quarters Footy at 30 mins each.
- the number of ads. after a goal is kicked is way beyond being reasonable - do you really believe as viewers we actually stay on the channel - we flick onto other channels waiting the return of the footy.
- Why the long shots from way above the MCG! Impossible to pick out the players
- Last quarter gets interesting and Channel 7 show more and more crowd shots - We as footy fans do not watch the TV to see Footy Supporters in the stands but what is going on in the game or what players are doing during stoppages.
I did not see the final 15/20 mins. but being delayed anyway shall watch on Pay TV during the week.
Come on Channel7 you can do so much better with the coverage! so lets see some changes made to improve same or I am afraid I am not watching anymore.
From a serious footy fan who currently enjoys Channel 10 and Pay TV footy coverage.

David Swartz
Sorry, but after so long I just simply can no longer watch your coverage of the AFL.
David Swartz is the most pathetic commentator I have heard in the history of sports. His incessant need to comment after the fact on every play of the game is seemingly obsessive compulsive. In addition, he also suffers from the need to make every event some profound mental exercise rather than just athletic instinct.
Someone at your crappy station needs to remind him of an old commentary rule. "The greatest skill in commentating is knowing when to say nothing".
Please tell him that at least, he is just a joke.

Football Coverage
Boy, I am glad your channel is covering the WB v St Kilda game on Friday night.
I mean, who wants to watch it live (like ch 10 coverage on Saturday night.) I'd rather watch Dr Harry with a howling dog, Karen making a sausage and Rob work on a chest of drawers.
And then when it is on you will, no doubt, run true to form and let a good game get in the way of your ads.
Truly, your coverage is awful.
There have been times during the year I have chosen to not watch my team if your channel is doing the telecast.

Channel 7's AFL Coverage
It's taken me some time to write this but I felt I could no longer sit back and not have my say.
The fact that you refuse to televise Friday night football live is beyond belief. You have paid millions of dollars for the right to do so and as such promote AFL but instead promote a gardening show that few wish to watch at this time.
You are missing a wonderful opportunity on Friday evenings to get families together in front of the TV at 7.30pm to watch the game together and so build this code and subsequently your stocks even further. By 8.30pm (and you stuff around for at least another 20 minutes) many of these potential viewers are happily watching a DVD or have tuned in to the radio to listen live or catch scores and they have no intention of switching back.
Many like me who no longer have children at home still sit patiently for the around 9.00pm start but unless the game is a real cracker we, after a busy week of work then go to bed at half time and listen to the end on the radio.
It's amazing how many I speak to who do the same thing. so much for the rhetoric about looking after your advertisers goes out the window as if they advertise after half time very few will see it. They get no value for the huge dollars they put in.
Unfortunately your coverage of free to air TV (in conjunction with 10) leaves a huge amount to be desired, with no live games some weekends if there happens to be a televised game in Melb. on Sat night.
You have a huge chance this year to win many friends, attract new sponsors and promote our game to the masses, in particular the young who will all be watching at 7.30 pm if you have the common sense to run live.
There is a huge resentment to your station building I can assure you so give Friday night live AFL a go and watch it evaporate.
Pull your finger out channel 7!

Ch7's Football Coverage & Team Song!
You are pathetic channel seven. You have coverage of the football at 3pm between Richmond and Swans and fill it with so many ads that you can't even show the club rooms victory song.
I have a mountain of people who are so annoyed with your attitude.
I sure hope you never win the football rights again.
You never listen to what the people want.
Everyone is waking up to the cooperate media, we have the internet to find real news. Your football coverage is foul.
Pathetic anal ass-holes who are out of touch with reality.
Turning off Seven.
